The fine print, in plain language
Terms & Conditions
Seller. These Terms are between you and Debbie Halbrook (“we”, “us”), the seller of the Video Confidence Starter Kit and the operator of this website. By using this website or buying the Starter Kit, you agree to these Terms.
The product
The Video Confidence Starter Kit is a set of six PDF learning modules delivered as digital downloads after a confirmed one-time payment. Nothing here grants access to coaching, live sessions, or any subscription service.
Acceptance and eligibility
By continuing to use the service you accept these Terms. You confirm that you are of legal age to make a purchase, or that you have authority to bind the organization you act for.
Your account
Keep the email address you use for sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Information you give us (such as your email) must be accurate and kept up to date.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the service lawfully and respectfully. Specifically, you must not:
- Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Send spam or unwanted communications, or harass, threaten, or abuse other people.
- Infringe our intellectual property or anyone else's rights, including copyright and trademark.
- Interfere with the service's security: no malware, probing, scraping, or attempts to bypass purchase or access controls.
- Upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringing through any feature of this website.
We may suspend or terminate access for acceptable-use violations, as described under "Suspension and termination" below.
Ownership and licence
We own the Starter Kit materials, this website, and their branding. When you purchase the kit, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the PDF modules for your own personal learning. You may not resell, redistribute, or share the files, and you may not reverse engineer the service or circumvent its technical limits.
Payment, billing, and refunds
The Starter Kit is a one-time purchase of $37 USD (plus any applicable tax shown at checkout). There is no subscription and no recurring billing. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund promise is described in our Refund Policy.
Service availability
We work to keep the site and downloads available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.
AI suggestions
The learning-goals feature uses AI to suggest which Starter Kit modules may suit you. Suggestions are general guidance, not professional advice, and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for how you use them.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, do not complete payment, create a security or fraud risk, or seriously or repeatedly violate our policies. If access ends, download anything you are still entitled to within 30 days; after that we may delete account data.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages such as lost profits, data, or goodwill, except where the law does not allow those limits (for example for fraud, death, or personal injury). You agree to cover our losses arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these Terms.
General
You may not transfer these Terms to someone else without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or acquisition. If an event beyond reasonable control prevents us from performing (force majeure), our obligations are excused while it lasts. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and the courts there have jurisdiction over disputes. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the changed Terms.
